Indie Magazines —
Independent magazines act as a springboard for ideas for the whole of magazine publishing as well as addressing niche readerships. Some people may say independent magazines have a good imagination, however, it's the stories inside which stimulates the reader's imagination. Independent magazines have their unique character, one made up by colour, scale and type. The relationship between these characteristics makes up the magazine's personality. Throughout this publication, I have interviewed editors based on a few of my favourite magazines. This editorial tells the stories told by the editors, focusing on the history of the magazine and also the design process before the publication goes to print.
